It has been a very busy year, but I finally have some time to post an update on some recent custom brass work. My customer, Cara, was very kind to send me photos of the antiqued brass plaque in situ, which I made for the Old Kitchens at Birdsall House in Yorkshire.
Birdsall House is a historic family home and wedding venue, nestled in one of the most picturesque and secluded of Yorkshire’s landscapes, 20 miles east of York. With stunning views up to the Yorkshire Wolds in one direction and over the Vale of York in the other, it is truly a unique and very special setting.
I am honoured that my small business was chosen to make a custom solid brass plaque with antiqued finish for the Old Kitchens, in keeping with the timeless decor and historic elements throughout the estate.
Transformed from Birdsall House’s old Victorian kitchens, the Old Kitchens event space has kept many of the historic elements, whilst introducing some modern touches. I especially love the rustic brass decor, which the plaque ties in with very well. I am thrilled that I was able to play a (very small) part in adding to this stylish decor and making the event space a unique and magical venue.
